Word Craft Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Word Craft Android app.

It covers information handled by Word Craft, Unity Ads, Android backup and device transfer, user-initiated sharing, support email, and this privacy-policy website. Third-party services operate under their own privacy policies.

Gameplay information is primarily stored on your device.

Word Craft does not ask for your name, precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or payment details during normal gameplay.

Android stores game progress and preferences.

Word Craft uses Android private app storage for progress, balances, rewards, audio and accessibility settings, theme selection, and onboarding state. Unfinished screen state may also be preserved temporarily so Android can recreate the current screen after an interruption.

The current app configuration allows selected game progress and preference files to participate in Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. The onboarding file is excluded. Depending on your Android and Google backup settings, an encrypted backup may be associated with your device or Google account and restored on a compatible device.

Clearing Word Craft's storage or uninstalling removes the local copy. An Android backup may remain under Google's retention rules and may later be restored. You can manage backup through Android or Google settings.

Word Craft uses Unity Ads to fund the game.

Word Craft displays a banner ad on the home and gameplay screens, may display an interstitial ad after certain level completions, and offers an optional rewarded ad when you request a hint. A rewarded hint is granted only after Unity Ads reports that the reward condition was completed.

The current version sends opt-out and non-behavioral signals to Unity Ads and requests contextual, non-personalized advertising. Contextual advertising can still require data needed to request, deliver, measure, limit, secure, and diagnose ads, including IP address, device information, identifiers, ad interactions, and technical events.

Unity acts as an independent service provider for its own processing and retention. Review Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy. Unity may also provide a data-privacy icon in or around ads through which available Unity privacy controls can be accessed.

Word Craft requests a limited set of Android permissions.

• Internet: used to initialize Unity Ads and request, display, measure, and secure advertisements, and when you open web links.
• Network and Wi-Fi state: used to determine connectivity for ad loading and related network behavior.
• Advertising ID: made available to the advertising SDK where Android and your device settings permit its use.
• Vibration: used for optional gameplay haptic feedback. Your vibration preference is stored locally.

Sharing

When you tap Share, Word Craft opens Android's share sheet with a plain-text message. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination app. That app then handles the shared content under its own policy.

Support

When you tap Support, Word Craft opens your email app with a draft addressed to SWFN Studio. The email is sent only if you choose to send it, and your email provider processes it under its own terms.

Privacy-policy website

Opening this policy sends ordinary web-request information, such as IP address, browser or device details, requested URL, and request time, to the website host and the providers needed to serve this page, including the externally hosted fonts.

Information is used to operate, fund, and protect Word Craft.

• Save levels, stars, words, rewards, balances, preferences, and guide progress.
• Restore eligible progress and preferences through Android backup or device transfer.
• Load, display, measure, limit, and secure contextual banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads.
• Confirm rewarded-ad completion before granting a hint.
• Provide haptic, audio, accessibility, sharing, privacy, and support features you request.
• Diagnose failures, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, respond to support requests, and comply with law.

Where applicable, processing may rely on providing the game and requested features, legitimate interests such as security and contextual advertising, consent where legally required, and compliance with legal obligations.

We do not sell your local game progress.

Limited information may be processed by:

• Unity Ads and its advertising partners: contextual ad delivery, measurement, frequency control, reward confirmation, diagnostics, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.
• Google Play and Android services: app distribution, platform security, advertising-ID controls, and backup or device transfer when enabled and supported.
• Apps you choose: user-initiated sharing, email support, and opening external links.
• Website hosting and font providers: delivery, performance, and security of this policy page.
• Authorities or professional advisers: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or establish and defend legal claims.

Word Craft does not send your locally stored level progress, coin balance, hint balance, or settings to Unity for ad targeting.

Retention depends on where information is held.

• Local game data: remains until changed, cleared through Android settings, or removed by uninstalling.
• Android backups: are controlled through Android or Google backup settings and retained under Google's rules.
• Advertising data: is retained by Unity and participating providers according to their policies and legal obligations.
• Support correspondence: may be kept while needed to resolve the request and for reasonable legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
• Website request logs: may be kept by the host for a limited period needed to serve and protect the site, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse.

Because Word Craft has no SWFN Studio account or gameplay server, we generally cannot identify or remotely delete progress stored only on your device. Use Android's Clear storage control or uninstall Word Craft to remove the local copy.

You control optional game features and device-level privacy settings.

• Turn music, sound, vibration, or reduced-motion behavior on or off in Word Craft settings.
• Avoid optional rewarded ads; core gameplay remains available without requesting an ad-funded hint.
• Manage or reset the Android advertising identifier and related ad settings through your device or Google settings.
• Use privacy controls made available by Unity in or around an advertisement.
• Manage Android backup, clear local app storage, or uninstall Word Craft.
• Choose whether and where to share the app message or send a support email.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of certain targeted advertising or sharing; or appeal a denied request. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.

We may request reasonable verification and will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.

Word Craft is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through a SWFN Studio account because Word Craft has no such account. Unity Ads and platform services may process limited device or advertising information as described above. Parents or guardians who believe a child provided personal information to us may contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Age thresholds and parental-consent requirements vary by country. Word Craft's store audience settings and advertising configuration must remain consistent with the audience selected in Google Play Console.

We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is risk-free.

Word Craft relies on Android private app storage, platform protections, encrypted network connections used by service providers, access controls, and reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the information handled. No device, transmission, storage system, or security measure can guarantee absolute security.

Unity, Google, website hosts, and other providers may process information in countries other than yours. Their handling, safeguards, and transfer mechanisms are governed by their policies, terms, and applicable law.

We will update this policy when relevant features change.

We may revise this policy to reflect changes to Word Craft, advertising, backups, providers, legal requirements, or data practices. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing where appropriate.
